STUNNING PORTRAITS + AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE + A FUN EXPERIENCE 

Middle School and High School years can be some of the hardest years on our youth's self-confidence, self-worth, and self-love. I have joined the campaign of Project Beauty, started by Ohio photographer Thomas Nguyen, to give our daughters the opportunity to truly connect, in a tangible way, with their REAL beauty.  The beauty that comes from within, from who they are as a person. And let them know that we as a community of mother's, teachers, caregivers, aunts, grandmothers, women, are here to support them and guide them, as best we can, towards the healthiest and happiest self we can help them be.

I am excited to once again offer Project Beauty Sessions with Melanie Landro Photography, to help our teenage daughters and girls make a real connection with their REAL beauty, and feel empowered WITHOUT makeup. To help our daughters connect with the beauty of their character, the beauty of their personality, the beauty of WHO they are, flaws and all, to understand that THAT is what matters most. To love one’s self and accept one’s self, and to feel a very real power and confidence from that.

As a Photographer, Mother to a teenage daughter, Aunt to teenage nieces, and Volunteer Girl Scout Leader to several now teen girls, my life has moved me to be a part of something so much bigger than myself, and compelled me to help girls free themselves from the ideas social media and society give us about perfection, and beauty.

Who’s with me?  Who will join the movement?

This May, we are offering a limited number of sessions for Middle & High School aged girls, 11-19 years old, where your daughters will be given the opportunity:

• to define what real beauty is to her.
• have the uplifting experience of a professional photo-shoot, while wearing NO makeup, with Melanie Landro Photography.
• and receive digital image files and a professional, black&white print of their beautiful portrait in the days after their session - a TANGIBLE reminder and connection to their REAL beauty to have forever, always connecting them to the mission of Project Beauty sessions: giving them self-love, self-acceptance, self-confidence, self-worth, and genuine empowerment.

To lend further support to this campaign and mission, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Kenosha's local organization of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to support and help raise awareness of depression, suicide, eating disorders, bullying and those victimized by sexual violence, and to support the services NAMI can help provide to those in need.

Melanie Landro Photography's "Project Beauty" sessions hope to bring a positive light to some of the mental health issues our youth and families experience and to help normalize conversations so more of our children, and adults, feel comfortable seeking help and support when needed.

PROJECT BEAUTY

Mini Session $200

20 Minute Photo-Session  .  One-on-One conversation about the core message of Project Beauty  . 
Five (5) High Resolution Edited Digital Images with Print Release  .  Option to Purchase additional Prints and/or Digital Images from Private Online Gallery  .  10% of all proceeds will be donated to Kenosha's organization NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

Professional 5x7 Print  included

One professional black&white print of their beautiful portrait will be shipped and delivered after your session. (One print per session).

• One (1) girl (or boy) can participate per session booked.  
• If you have 2 or more girls/boys in need of a session, you can book more than one session, back-to-back, if available.(Sisters/Brothers/Cousins/Friends).  *Please call if you need assistance with this.
