I have been waiting years for this session. Truly. My beautiful niece is a senior. Our first of the family's next generation to meet this milestone.
I remember one of her first photo shoots with me. She was about two, wearing a delicate, white summer dress, holding sunflowers and walking along a peaceful pond, with her adorable curls blowing freely. I pass my favorite photo from that day long ago, every day, as it still hangs in my hallway. And I look at it often, remembering that beautiful day capturing my sweet little niece.
I think our heart grows and glows a bit every time we are able to look at such photos of those we love, no matter how much, or how little, time has passed since it was taken. There are very few material possessions that can compete with the importance of family photos. What they do for our heart and spirit, and what they provide the future generations with in our families. To me, family photos are simply priceless.
Fast forward to the present day, and we have our intelligent, responsible, thoughtful, artistic and loved Corinne.
"I want a field of wildflowers, vines and a local mural, Auntie Mel." Check, check, check.
Love you, Corinne. xo
